The Texas County Fair Board is hosting a golf tournament Saturday, Oct. 18 to benefit its facilities on North U.S. 63.

The tournament will feature sessions starting at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., with the number of flights determined by entries. It is a two-person scramble. Registration is $100 per team, and participants are encouraged to play in each session with different partners.

There will be cash prizes on every hole, insurance and 50/50 games, extra mulligans and a skins game. Payouts are $350, $250 and $150 for first, second and third places.

All proceeds from the tournament will be placed in the Board’s building fund to raise money for new air-conditioned bathrooms, a cook shack and a kitchen, organizers said.

For more information, to sponsor the tournament or register, call or text Matthew Price at 417-247-7041 or contact the clubhouse at 417-217-2736.
